'Daredevil' gets a second season on Netflix

Charlie Cox proves justice is blind in "Daredevil."Netflix
The Man without Fear -- aka Daredevil -- will be protecting Hell's Kitchen in New York City for another season now that Netflix has renewed Marvel's popular, gritty superhero series.

Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox) may be a lawyer during the day, but by nightfall he dons a mask as Daredevil and patrol the shadowy corners of the Marvel universe. Here he fights against mobsters, kidnappers and the usual array of villains -- even though he's blind.
Doug Petrie ("Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and "American Horror Story") and Marco Ramirez ("Sons of Anarchy"), both worked closely with Executive Producers Steven S. DeKnight and Drew Goddard during the first season. They will serve as showrunners for Season 2, according to Marvel.com.
"While previous commitments unfortunately prevent me from continuing on with 'Daredevil' into its second season, I could not be happier that Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez are carrying the torch," DeKnight told Marvel.com. "They were invaluable collaborators during our first season, and I for one can't wait to see what they do with the show moving forward."
We're anxious to see what happens next for Murdock, his friend Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson), his secretary Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and his powerful nemesis Wilson Fisk (Vincent D'Onofrio), aka the Kingpin.
