Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson makes for an imposing 'Bambi'

Disney has been making a killing releasing live-action versions of its classic animated films in the last few years, with movies like "Maleficent" and "Cinderella" raking in the gold. On the latest episode of "Saturday Night Live," the "SNL" crew unveiled a parody trailer for a Disney remake of "Bambi" starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson as Bambi hell-bent on revenge.

This isn't the Bambi from your childhood, of course.
As you'd expect from the muscular actor and former wrestler, "SNL" depicts Bambi as a badass deer who, together with his furry friends, takes up arms and ventures out to kill those who hunted his mother when he was a child. His furry friends include "Furious 7" stars Vin Diesel as Thumper, Tyrese Gibson as Flower and Michelle Rodriguez as Faline. (Or, more accurately, SNL cast members play Vin Diesel, Tyrese Gibson and Michelle Rodriguez playing those characters in the action-packed, bullet-laden trailer.)
Check out the trailer for yourself, which ends with a new theme song called "Wham, Bam, Bambi" by Ludacris, in the video above. And if you liked this action-packed clip, you'll probably enjoy "Furious 7," which lands in theaters in Australia on April 2, and in the US and UK on April 3.
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and his furry friends get ready to attack the men who killed Bambi's mother.
